Huiler ses cheveux, ça sert à quoi ?
Huiler ses cheveux, on en parle partout, mais à quoi ça sert vraiment ? On vous explique ce que l'huile fait (et ne fait pas) sur la fibre, quand l'appliquer,...
The scalp naturally produces sebum. When mixed with sweat, it forms a layer of moisture and protection around your hair, called the hydrolipidic film.
But if you are used to using shampoos with sulfates or strong washing agents, this hydrolipidic film will deteriorate significantly.
In response, your scalp will secrete a lot more sebum to rebuild this protective layer. And so begins the vicious cycle of hair getting greasy too quickly.
Overproduction of sebum which can also be due to hormonal imbalances, genetic factors or increased sensitivity to androgen hormones, which cause increased production of sebum.
If, in addition, you have fine hair and/or you live in a polluted city, this phenomenon will be accentuated and the sebum will accumulate, making your scalp greasy and weighing down your hair.
